In the early 60s whilst working as a farm labourer, Irworth, or 'Yor' as he was known, began subsidising his income by collecting animal feedbags from local farms and selling them to the Liverpool papermills from his home at Chapel House in Gronwen.
He noticed a gap in the market and very soon
this was proving very popular and in 1972
he puchased his 1st baler and signed his
1st contract to collect from Dairy Crest in Wem.
By 2000 the business had outgrown the cambrian site and relocated to its present 2 acre site at Mile Oak Industrial Estate, Oswestry. The business now has 14 lorries, in excess of 300 skips, recently acquired a new press and processes over 800 tons of cardboard per week
As the business flourished it outgrew its home at Chapel House and moved to the Cambrian Works at the disused Oswestry Railway site in 1976. Here the business continued to prosper and develop new customers and broaden its horizons.
